Kayla is passionate about helping individuals, families, and couples who experience a higher quality of life. Through faith-centered, client-driven care, she is dedicated to guiding others on their journey toward fulfilling their God-given purpose.
Kayla earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from North Carolina A&T State University, one of the largest HBCU in the nation. She later obtained her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Oklahoma State University. She holds credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C).

With over five years of experience in the public school system, Kayla transitioned from teaching to counseling, bringing her expertise as a former special education teacher to her role at Amayesing Skillz. Her background uniquely equips her to support clients through a compassionate and structured approach, addressing both educational and emotional needs.

Outside of her counseling work, Kayla is a five-time published author and the founder of her self-publishing company, Books By KJF, LLC. She believes everyone carries a story within them that is worthy of being discovered and shared.
