The Tulsa Black Mental Health Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting mental wellness, healing, and equity within Tulsa’s Black community. We connect individuals, families, and professionals to culturally competent mental health resources and support.

The mission of the Tulsa Black Mental Health Alliance is to engage the underserved, educate the underrepresented, and equip under-resourced communities to disrupt systemic oppression and the stigma of black mental health.

TBMHA was founded in response to long-standing mental health disparities and systemic barriers that impact Black individuals and families in Tulsa. We aim to create safe spaces where healing and culturally informed care are centered.

While TBMHA does not provide direct clinical therapy, we connect individuals to trusted, licensed Black mental health professionals in Tulsa and surrounding areas.

You can explore our Community Provider Directory, which lists Black and allied therapists who understand the cultural and historical experiences of Tulsa’s Black community.

Our programs are open to everyone, but we prioritize serving Tulsa’s Black residents and others who seek culturally responsive mental health support.

We host educational workshops, community healing circles, youth and family programs, professional training sessions, and events during Black Mental Health Awareness Month.
