Biography

Danielle is a licensed professional counselor and mindfulness facilitator. In her Tulsa private practice, she delivers customized trauma and anxiety support for women—particularly Black women—using specialized, culturally responsive methods. Danielle founded Aspire to Breathe to create evidence-based and inclusive mindfulness experiences explicitly structured for Black, Indigenous, and other racialized groups. She also holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education.

With 15 years as a therapist, Danielle excels at guiding women experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. Trained in Somatic Experiencing Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, she provides trauma-informed care that empowers clients to reconnect with inner strengths and foster emotional stability and well-being.

Danielle is dedicated to making mindfulness accessible. She has led mindfulness-based classes, including Mindful Mamas, a group for mothers, and Curious About Calm, which introduces mindfulness fundamentals. She actively dispels misconceptions about mindfulness, such as it being religious or requiring extended stillness. Danielle presents mindfulness in an approachable way for all. She serves as board president of Open Door Meditation Center and leads a bi-monthly BIPOC Community Meditation Group, providing a supportive environment for BIPOC members to practice and discuss mindfulness.

Danielle has personally witnessed the transformative effects of counseling and mindfulness during challenging times. She is devoted to empowering others toward healing, resilience, and deeper self-connection.
