Michael McCalister II is the Clinical Director and a Therapist at Amayesing Skillz Counseling Services, while also working closely with the nonprofit, Skillz On Wheelz, which create the SOW Amayesing Wellness Group. As a proud Tulsan, he attended Booker T. Washington High School, the University of Oklahoma, and earned his graduate degree from Langston University. With over fifteen years in mental and behavioral health, he began as a case manager connecting low-income clients with resources and now provides individual, family, and group therapy. Although comfortable with most populations, Michael’s primary focus is working with adolescents and teenagers from low-income backgrounds, recognizing their unique challenges and opportunities for growth. He is deeply committed to facilitating cultural competency training to enhance the effectiveness of counseling and helping professions, ensuring more inclusive, informed, and equitable practices. Guided by faith to foster positive change, he is passionate about being of service and contributing to the community that shaped him.
